Silk Ribbon, botanical print, natural dye

These ribbons have been created with natural dyes and plants. They are silk haboti which has been torn to size in three yard or 108" lengths. The process to dye is a composting method I developed which yields color from dried flower petals. This batch was dyed with cochineal and composted with rust and hollyhock. The pattern is delightfully random and there are various shades of pink to purple. There are two sizes to choose from 1" or 2" widths.

I recommend to hand wash in mild soap and air dry for longest color retention.
