I am offering these handcrafted plant based inks in small batches with organic love and devotion. They are wonderful colors made with seasonally harvested plants here in the Pacific Northwest. I use them to charge my paintings with color and potent earth song.  I would love to also share them with you.

The colors listed are what is currently available but new batches will always be added throughout the season.

Because they are organic inks they may slightly mold or shift in color. When this is a possibility I will notate sensitive inks in description. I normally leave my inks in a room that is away from direct sunlight and will occasionally refrigerate certain ones to lengthen the potency. I use clove as a preservative.

In general they will last 6 months to 1 year.

* If using for pen and ink I do not recommend using with mechanical pens but instead traditional or handmade pen tips.

Weld- Grown in my garden and harvested in 2024, this brilliant yellow is a classic early color used by Roman and Saxons. Alum mordant added for a bright yellow color.

Oak Black- Foraged from the oak orchards of Oregon and Washington mostly this oak gall based ink has been blended with iron to create a rich black that was an original black used in medieval times.

Rose- Harvested from my organic rose bush in Portland, Oregon. The lovely red rose has brought me so much color magic over the years and this ink gives the best blush tones. Sometimes sensitive to constant warm temp and can be prone to mold after a few months. That said I have still used it for ink and always loved the results.

Black Walnut- Foraged from local neighborhood trees in Portland, Oregon. The warm brown color is a favorite of mine as an ink and dye. This batch was made in early 2025. Although walnut in general is fairly mold resistant I find if it is contaminated at all, it can start to mold but I have also not had a problem with the color after I have removed the mold in question.

* Black Iris- Garden beauty, the bearded black iris gives the most delicate blue/ green. Harvest these in spring 2025 and just made a very small batch. I recommend storing the ink in fridge between painting and creating for the longest shelve life. I noticed my first bottle changed color after about a month sitting out on my ink tray.

Logwood Purple - The heart wood of the logwood tree is were you will find this ancient color. These shavings have been ethically harvested in the Caribbean as it grows in abundance. Alum mordant added for a strong purple color.
