Marigold Dye Session

Friday November 13 from 5-7 pm

I welcome you to join me for this two hour Marigold session. We will gather around the dye pot to garner color on our chosen fibers. I will create the dye pot and you will bring the item you want to dye. 

I will also be setting aside a small amount of marigold to make some ink. So if you are interested in that then you will need to bring your own one ounce container. You can bring a small jar and I will portion out an ounce. 

Items you can bring to dye can include clothes, yarn, thread, or linens. Please be aware that they will need to be pre mordanted with Aluminum Sulfate in order to take up the dye in its most magnificent color. 

I will have some sample swatches available that are mordanted with alum so you can observe this special color.
