Lavender Wands - Small

These wands were made fresh in the summer of 2023. There are a variety of sizes and colors available which I have posted on two pages. These wands are from 11-8  inches long.

All of these wands were woven with natural dyed silk ribbon from indigo to cochineal.

Lavender or Lavendula Lamiaceae

Has about 47 species of this flowering mint plant.  It grows well in temperate climates and is grown as an ornamental plant.  Its uses span from a culinary herb to the extraction of its oil.  This can be used for balms, salves, perfumes, cosmetics.  For food it has a nice sweet floral flavor.  The dried flower buds are stronger in flavor than fresh and so should be used at a lesser quantity while cooking. 

The scent of the dried buds in stimulating while soothing. It can be used to freshen up your drawers and often used to ward off insects such as moths. I have added little loops to the ends of some if you would like to hand them.
