Dried Rose Petals - herbs- dye

Rose comes from the Rosaceae family. There are many plants that live within this family such as berries, apples, pears, plums, and even almonds. I have harvested these rose petals from organic sources. Mostly they are a red and pink color of rose which when dried has nice black and pink tones. You can use these dried petals for herbal goodies, in teas, soap making, cosmetics and potpourri. I often use them for natural colors on the silks and cottons I dye. You can create a dye bath with them or use for direct dyeing. They leave a wonderful pink tone and interesting effects with iron.
