Dried Marigold Flowers - Dye

Theses marigold flowers have been harvested organically and locally from my studio in Portland, Oregon.

I love the colors they yield from brilliant yellows to olive greens. This all depends on the mordant you use. You can dye textiles, threads, yarns, grasses, and paper or use them to capture pigment to make watercolors, tempera paints or inks.
