Hollyhock Poncho

This raw silk shawl / poncho, is made to be worn by any sexual orientation. There is one size which is aprox 50 x 58 inches.

The silk was dyed with natural colors from rust, harvested hollyhock, and marigold dye. I created the pattern with a composting method I developed in 2006.
Each shawl has a magnetic clasp at the neck line to lightly secure. I have custom handcrafted each charm with semi precious stones and beads. They are all unique and it is a surprise in which one you will get.

This silk is light weight yet stiff. There are irregularities in the weave with give slubs like dupioni silk. The edges are hand rolled and machine stitched. There is a seam at shoulders.

I recommend hand washing and air dry for longest life and color fastness. Yes, you can also use an iron.

It is my pleasure to make adornments for your body!
